Who Am I?

I thought it is important for you to know this before you read anything in my blog...

Who Am I? Basically, nobody. (Hope I am somebody to my Kids when they grow up thou..)

But ever since I step out from Uni, I have been actively engaged in Investing. From an Engineer to Real Estate negotiator to Business Owner to  Private Fund Manager. It was difficult at times. Attending my first investment course with 1 month worth of salary is tough then...learning a whole set of knowledge known as "Accounting" is Pain! Finding out what I thought was the right investment, turn out to be down right Wrong was a nightmare.

Here's the thing, as I gain more knowledge, (which after 14 years of courses/books/ try and error it is still pretty much scraping the surface), I came across very interesting conversation with many people, mostly friends and relatives.

Some remarks and points were very smart, but many were alarmingly dangerous, some don't even bother!

Then I realized, Investment and Financial Planning is such vast topic, it is almost impossible to explain them over a cup of tea. This are smart people, good at what they do, Just do not have the time to look into managing money. This I find is a pitty and disastrous. Working for your whole life and realized it is not enough when you retire...?

So, I thought it was about time I put down my thoughts in writing. Hoping somehow it can help someone in navigating the Financial Jungle.

If you are like me, every sen is a hard earn money. If your risk profile is medium and your investment horizon is beyond 5 years, Join me in my Journey - building my Money Tree - A portfolio plan doubling in every 5 years and returns a passive income at the end.

Mostly, i will be writing about Stocks investing by way of Value Investing.

Everything said...This is essentially for my children.

  1. You must be a subscriber of EquitiesTracker. Will you be attending Club Meeting on 19 Mar? If yes, I can say Hello to you. :)

    1. Thank You for your kind words. Will surely continue to write as I realize the more I write/update on a particular company, I understand more. It becomes clearer what I should do next.

I am happy you found it useful. Hope to meet more like minded people to discuss and invest with Value Investing.

  3. It must be the Law of Attraction. Just attended ET training last 2 consecutive weeks. Now doing revision & research, that's how it brings me to your blog. My calculation on CSCENIC tells me it is over value but I wasn't sure of my analysis until I read your analysis. Thanks very much for the information. You have great analytic skill. I hope to learn more from you.

    1. HI, Agnes, welcome to to the Value Investing family! I attended ET back in 2011, I am still q club member and still learning. On the other hand, One thing I realized, ET is strong with accounting analysis which is looking at past records. A good start and a important start. It narrows down a grade deal of rotten companies. Yet it is not full proof. I am still brushing up my "business sense" to make it more powerful. Hope we can grow together!

    1. Thank You for the encouragement! By writing I benefited a lot as well. I had to revisit the numbers, the analysis while writing them. Sometimes, while writing, i realize my own mistakes.
